There are lots of beaches that can be reached from Molino as a day trip.
The beaches on the Mediterranean Coast are easy to get to, but in summer are often crowded and a bit dirty. They do, however, have clean, warm water and are good for children because lots of them have playgrounds on the beach. They are near the very famous Puerto Banus and all the glamour attached to it.
There are many restaurants along the coast line offering fresh, local fish and other classic Spanish dishes such as paella or tapas.
The other advantage of these beaches is that you can combine it with a shopping trip to the big stores on the coast or with playing a round of golf. Click here for more information on shopping and on golf.
The best beaches along the Mediterranean coast are Elviria and Cabo Pino and can be reached in just over an hour – Reception will give you directions.
If you are willing to drive a bit further, the beaches on the Atlantic coast are outstanding. These are beautiful long beach es with near-white sand and very clean, warm water. They are very unspoilt and are definitely the locals’ beaches of choice. Beaches are only ever crowded in August. There are lots of local restaurants offering fresh, local fish and also ‘chiringuitos’, beach bars.
The area around it is very free of development and there is not much else to do apart from swim, relax and eat… For the more courageous and adventurous, this coast is known internationally, however, for kite surfing and surfing – especially a beach town called Tarifa.
The best beaches on the Atlantic coast are, in our opinion, Conil, Vejer and Caños de Meca. These beaches are two and a half hours away but we could not recommend them enough – directions are available in Reception.
