This page is in the process of being redesigned and improved but as it may be useful to you in its present format, it is accessible.
Summary: This page aims to help you plan how to reach Molino. It is divided into reaching us once you are in Spain and also advice on best routes from outside the country.
Although Molino is hidden away in the mountains , there are many ways to reach us.

From within Spain :

By road :
By Private Car: We have prepared routes to and from the major airports of our area and should be pleased to forward these upon request. These routes will also serve to help you find us from larger cities.
By Taxi : We can send taxis to collect you from any Spanish airport. The cost from Malaga, Jerez, Granada or Sevilla airport is going to be in the region of 120 euros if we send a local driver. Hiring taxis at the airport can be considerably more expensive.
It is more difficult for a local driver to collect you from Gibraltar airport because of the border.

By Rail:
Benaojan station is three minutes’ walk from the hotel, but there are only four stopping trains each way per day. Stopping trains can be used for arriving from Malaga and Gibraltar airports. From Malaga airport , you will need to get to Malaga central station. You can do this by local train ( every half hour) , city buses (every half hour) or taxi. Taxi fares will be approximately 15 euros. All journeys from Malaga will necessitate a change in Bobadilla: the only relatively easy connection is the train that leaves Malaga central at approximately 14.00. There is a later train at 19.05 which goes directly from Malaga to Ronda. The train fare is no more than 15 euros. From Ronda you will need to hire a taxi costing approximately 20 euros.
From Gibraltar, the journey requires you to cross the border to the La Linea taxi rank. From here it is a 15 minute, 15 euro ride to “Estacion de San Roque”. Trains leave at approximately 07.15, 12.30, 15.45 and 18.30 for the 75 minute direct trip. The cost is approximately 10 euros single. Please check with us for any changes to times of trains and note that the last service only runs Monday to Friday.
From Madrid there is a daily Talgo service to Ronda , leaving Madrid at 08.00, arriving at 12,30. The return is at 16.30 from Ronda. Fares are very reasonable.
Getting to Spain:
By Air:
Malaga is very well served with flights from all over Europe and most regional airports within the UK.
Quieter, and therefore quicker to negotiate, airports with international flights are Jerez (Ryanair from Stansted), Sevilla (BA and Iberia from Gatwick and Heathrow respectively), Gibraltar (from Gatwick , Heathrow and Manchester with BA) and Granada (from Stansted and Luton with Ryanair and Monarch respectively). All of these airports are approximately 90 minutes away from Molino.
By Rail:
If you prefer not to fly, train services from Northern Europe are via Paris and Madrid.
By Sea:
Ferries from Plymouth and Portsmouth serve Santander and Bilbao respectively. The Santander crossing, at 20 hours, is considerably shorter. Molino can be reached in about 12 hours driving time from these ports, We can supply suggested routes and stopping places on request.
