We think you’d be hard-pressed to find a better area for walking any where. There are a huge variety of landscapes, habitats, terrains, vegetation and levels of difficulty to appeal to all tastes.
What will it be? A half hour stroll from our gates to the River Guadiaro to watch the barbel jumping the waterfall or an all day climb to 1,500 metres to get views of North Africa? Or something in between?
Molino offers you a range of walks from the hotel door, all clearly described so that you do not need to worry about finding your way. These walks are all available free of charge of course to our resident guests and you can get a flavour of them here. (Here’s the link)
Once you have made a reservation with us we will give you a password to be able to access more detailed information if you like to plan in advance.Further away from the hotel there are a number of guide books that we can recommend. The most recent publication, and the most useful in that it focuses on walks in our vicinity, is 30 Walks in the Ronda Mountains by Eva Bratek and Tony Bishop. There are walks here for all levels – we have sold nearly 300 copies of this book in the last 12 months and it has been universally well-received. Very reasonably priced at just 10euros, we can arrange to keep a copy for you at the hotel – or post one to you if you have made a reservation with us.
Eva also offers a very professional guided walking service. She adapts her routes to all abilities and is great company – people who have had days out with Eva have been super-effusive about their experiences. Contact us for more details.
If you are moving within Andalucia, Guy Hunter Watts has produced a range of walking books which are also very well-regarded. Walking in Andalucia features six walks in our area as well as many further afield. Coastal Walks in Andalucia and Coast to Coast by the same author detail other great routes. These titles are available on Amazon.
